Our club was founded in October 1995. The primary purpose of our club is to provide information, education and organization to those interested in woodturning. Our membership is drawn from all towns and communities surrounding the Louisville area, but all woodturners are welcome to visit or join.
Our usual meetings will resume on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm once the COVID epidemic is over. Meetings are held at Walden School, 4238 Westport Rd, Louisville, Kentucky 40207. The dates are subject to change to accommodate guest demonstrators. Some meetings may be held on Saturday for longer professional demonstrations. Most Saturday demonstrations start at 9:00am with lunch provided. A small fee is sometimes charged to offset the cost of having professionals demonstrate.
We are affiliated with the AAW (American Association of Woodturners), which is the international non-profit organization working to advance woodturning. Membership in our club or AAW does not make you a member of the other.
